Emilia has over six years of experience in the textile industry. She graduated from Industrial Engineering with emphasis in textile industry. Starting her career with the research and development in textile production. Afterwards she gain knowledge on retail management and regional direction with Inditex. Then she enhanced her competence in international relations in China as well as innovation and marketing in Italy, where she finished her master studies in Fashion Business at Polimoda. The recent years she has done several consultancy services in fashion business development and strategy.
Experience in Business development with a social impact, linking markets in Europe and Africa, with specific knowledge of the Africa fashion industry and creative sectors. Forging partnerships with private sector in emerging African markets.

Msc in Development studies from SOAS with Field experience in human rights research programs in Bangladesh, UK, Uganda, working respectively for University of Milan and Terre des Hommes Italy, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London, Kurdish Human Rights Project and Save the Children UK.
