TAIBO BACAR High fashion from Mozambique.

I thought about introducing a couple of new African fashion brands on this week blog post, and I ended up going with Taibo Bacar because I immediately fell in love with this Brand.

Even though I already posted a link to their website, I felt the need to write more about them and what I think differentiates them from other african fashion brands.

I find the designs to be very modern with clean symmetrical cuts, but yet playful in the use of material, colour and prints.

The theme of the complete Mademoiselle collection is Neoprene. Which started to become a major  trend in Europe last year. So you can see this brand is absolutely up to date!

I can totally picture a powerful business women in New York, making the streets her runway in this classy Neoprene outfit.

It was only obvious to me that fabulous fashion like this, has to come with great success. So from the movie scene in my head, to reality, this beautiful garments have actually seen the runways of Milan fashion week, The Audi Jbg Fashion Week and Mozambique Fashion Week, where he was recognised as The Designer of the Year.

More and more african fashion designers are catching up to the
European fashion world and Taibo Bacar is definitely one of them. So if you haven’t checked them out yet, and even if you have, you should take another look.
